Good luck to Davis if another team does pick him up.

I hope it works out for Nick. I fear that he will kick the winning goal against us in an important match at some stage in the next couple of seasons.

I for one am really really pleased if he plays for Brisbane. He did not need to be lost to the game. I am very sorry he is not playing for us. I think it definitely all political.
    Love those Swans

Agree!!! Davis was a great player for us & i for one didn't wanna see him go.

As far as i'm concerned, Nick deserves another go, so Good luck too him.

& Don't be surprised to see him play against us & bite us in the Butt,If ya know what i mean.

I hope he plays really well for the Lions and sticks it up Roos.

I personally hope he continues to be half hearted about his footy and not chase opponents out of defence very often. Because on the biggest ground in the league he will once again be found wanting. And will start irritating his team-mates just like he did in Sydney because of his attitude.

What is the bet that if he goes up there he'll start hanging out with drongo Broncos NRL types at seedy Fortitude Valley nightclubs just like he did in Sydney?

Indeed - and those of us who held his talents in high regard, despite our allegiance to the Swans, will quietly be really pleased for him if he does.

One thing I found interesting about Voss' comments is that, on face value, he seems to be interested in Nick to fill a void that is to Nick's strengths (offering another scoring option that is accurate and creative in front of goals) as opposed to trying to turn Nick into something he might never be (midfielder or defender).

On a side note, imagine if they can get the odd 20 disposal game from Nick and also get 20 disposals from Travis... there'd be more silky skills on display than Grand Final day in Alice Springs.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Voss already is carving out a legend as the master of classic coachspeak. His comments re Clarke were really most appropriate for the greatest living forward since Johnnny Coleman laced up the boots. The Barack Obama of coaching really meant:

"Davo can be a pretty productive tool for us" Indeed.

I don't understand the criticism that Roosy has copped (is copping) over his treatment of Nick Davis.

Granted that Nick Davis is very talented, but did he work hard enough on the track to maximise those talents?

As I am not directly involved at the club, I wouldn't know. But I do have enough respect for those at the club who work with the players everyday to think they just could have made the correct decision in letting Nick Davis go.
