i am rating the players in a number of different attributes but the ones I have put up are there overall rating in their best position.

It is just a list of numbers, though. They could pretty much be random numbers. Without some sense of the formulae and/or criteria you've used to arrive at those numbers, how can anyone comment?

And why use a rating scale of 0-100 if the newest players added, who've shown nothing, all warrant a figure higher than 50?

Bit harsh there sport, Gillie was one of the best keeper/bastmen in the history of the game. I take it that your ranking methodology is so subjective that you have expansively included cricket in the forensic equation. Keep thinking outside the centre square.

That's easy - you are born at 0. If they could not get at least 50, they would never get picked up in the first place.
