So you think losing by 100 points is bad?

Who thinks their club is having a pretty rough trot at the moment, with getting belted every week?

Just think, things could be a lot worse - you could be playing for the Callington Eagles in the Hills Country League in South Australia....

    No mercy rule over there?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

This one is truly mind-boggling. Assuming they play 20 minutes plus time on each quarter, there would have to be an average of 1 goal for each minute of play - plus enough time left over for Kersbrook to score 22 points and for Callington to get 1.1 themselves.

Usually in country footy it's 25 minutes plus time on, so you'd be looking at 40 minute quarters in a game like this - I believe they kicked 18, 21, 18 and 23 goals per quarter.

And yes, the R James is the same Roger James who played 150-odd games for Port Adelaide.

WOW this could be the worste team in the country. I wonder how they would go against Balmain.

You gotta give them full credit. Of all their sides getting flogged every week, they are at the rear end of the season and not a single forfeit. Probably got all their Under 14's playing all four games.
I reckon they must be a tight bunch who look forward to their footy every week. And there is plenty to talk about over a beer at the end.

    Well done Callington Eagles !!

Even at Auskick level you don't always get coaches willing to use a mercy rule; we're split up into 2 teams and my lot recently were completely destroying a visiting team and I went mercy rule at half time, to the extent of telling the backs to let any shot on goal bounce twice (so that it wasn't touched on the line/in case it got a lucky bounce etc.), and the guy who coaches the other group just said "why'd ya do that?" when we were chatting after the game!

    Mercy rule rocks, percentage blows.

why did you do that, maybe just stop the ball from going through the sticks is a better option.
