Here is a panorama of Mickey O's last goal of of his last game.

The image is a 4MB and the size is 9255x2029 pixels. Both IE and Firefox will "shrink to fit" your screen width - to see the full detail you'll need to tell the browser to display the image full size. In Firefox just clicking on the image will do that. IE8 is the same.

John, do me the hugest favour, print that photo out, frame it and give it to Micky. I'll pay for it.

    He'd love that.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

I've levelled the horizon on this copy - looks better though it has inevitably made the image a bit smaller.

For the technically minded I took a panorama sequence as soon as Micky took the mark then took a rapid sequence of Micky as he kicked - using the best "kick" shot as the central image of the panorama (only the two "side" shots from the panorama sequence were needed - 3 images in total). All shots were at the widest angle of a Tamron 18-250mm zoom lens on a Nikon 5000 body. Photoshop Elements 7 was used to merge the images into the panorama.

    Yeah ok.
Do you mind? I'll give it to him at the club champion dinner.

    Nice one JS.

Interesting how many people in the crowd are getting their own souvenir of the action!!

No probs - I'd love for him to have it. I want a photo of him with it though.

For reference the kick was at 5:04 in the 4th Q

The score before the kick was 11-7-63 to 13-9-87

This version of the panorama is a slightly wider crop of the levelled version to show the score and game clock on the Churchill scoreboard. Micky's name is on the Messenger scoreboard

I've already made a space on my kitchen wall for it, but have to find someone who will print it big enough
