sad news because he could play , i was always a fan of his , sad not to see him fulfill his playing potential in the red and white.

Pretty shattered with that news, as I've always been a big fan. I've got no doubt that he would have been a good league footballer if his body had allowed him to be.

The positive side is it opens up another spot on the list. He probably saw that he wasn't going to get a game or drafted elsewhere so took the logical move.
Hope he gets to play footy at a lower level. We will have him at Croydon in Melbourne.
The one thing that I find really disappointing about Tim Schmidt's retirement is that the Swans de-listed Matthew Laidlaw. I would have like to have seen him given one more year.

Bad luck for Tim Schmidt. Undeniably talented and by the sounds of it a great clubman.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.
