We should have tried it against the pies not the tiges. White probably would have played himself into form against them. Not that I'm complaining. Im itching to see TDL play 1sts, and while i've been a big defender of Jesse, i dont think the word spud has escaped my mouth more times than on Saturday night.
I am going to predict mass changes this week. Perhaps the most number of (unforced) changes Roos has made as coach.
Jetta and White have already been flagged as outs and I really think there is value in using Currie as a ruck / forward this week - particularly if Bradshaw doesn't come up.
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
What I would like to see (but obviously cannot due to injury) :
Out : Pyke , White, Bevan , Jetta
In : Bradshaw, Bolton, Seaby , Kennelly
What you could possibly see if we made wholesale changes based on Saturday Night and wanted to experiment a little (and ignoring half fit regulars ala Moore, bradshaw and Kenneally):
Out : Bevan, Pyke, Jetta, White, Hannebery, Mattner, Bolton
In : Meredith , Currie, Vez, O Dwyer, TDL, Playfair (cant have too many youngsters) , Heath
What you will probably see (based on past history) :
Out : Jetta, White, Rohan
In : TDL, Playfair, Moore
There is no chance that Hannebery, Mattner, Bolton will be dropped.
They had a down game but so far this year are among our best.
Hannerbery is now the official fav for rising star !!
It depends on getting a fit Bradshaw and Kennelly into the team.
That frees up the run from the backline and gives a powerfull marking forward ... we took very few marks in the forward line against the Muggies.
If Bradshaw is in form then that frees Goodes up to be less harrassed and shine as he still can.
Back to the G for Sunday afternoon footy
Anyone who thinks we are not in danger of losing this game hasn't been watching Wretchond the past few weeks as I have. Despite my predictions of a winless season for them, they have found a number of promising players and are playing a fast, risk taking style of game that may prove a winner against us.
Whilst we haven't done it in the Roos era, its now time to make some serious changes this week, both ins and outs and structurally. If we don't do it this week then it may be too late. TDL is a must for an extended try at senior level. Clever small forwards like him are born, not made and we need a small specialist forward like TDL - desperately. I would leave Rohan in the seniors to but play him exclusively forward, he has an x factor that is dangerous near goals.

I wanna go to this game to see TDL make his debut, but imagine the shame if we lose.............The thought of that is almost enough to keep me away, but Swans at the 'G' on a sunday afternoon, i've gotta go. Hopefully a few swans in the crowd, i daresay there will be quite a few tigers fans
Richmond coming off the week off is a far easier proposition than playing them coming off their last 4 games.
I can see us smashing them this week, as the week off came just at the wrong time for them.
