    Trent Dennis-Lane

Last night we saw the difference between a specialist small forward and a resting midfielder. Well done Trent.
If TDL gets dropped for Jared Moore I won't be happy.

Outstanding game. A far more creative and thinking player than Moore, and quicker.

Terrence Denis Lane is in my ears and in my eyes
There beneath the blue suburban skies
    I sit, and meanwhile back,......

Very strange - nice work by the youngster!

I don't think you could class him as a small forward he is very rangey.

As I noted in a post after his first game, very good at finding space both sideways and going backwards. As long as we have guys who can hit a target going forward he will get plenty of opportunities to mark.

Can't wait to see him and Johnstone next year and Sumner as well.

    Trent Dennis-Lane - the future ?

    Cool kick for goal.
    Not cocky.
Team player - plenty of examples last night.
If he stays injury free (and level-headed), how far can he go in this game ?
    Right to the very top.

TDL and Doggy are two very different players! And TDL didn't come in for Doggy.....sheesh.....TDL is a goal kicking forward, Doggy gets the ball into the goal kicking forward.....he is a playmaker.....

When I met him at the fan's day at the beginning of the year, I asked is he ready to boot up, and he said he'd be lucky to get a game this year and that he was just happy to be picked for an AFL team and will just go out and give it his best shot. Very unassuming bloke.

When I saw him last night after the game, his grin was from ear to ear and he mentioned how he's having the best time of his life. I told him to relax ... it's only going to get better.

    Lovely kid.

Pretty impressive games so far. I think he may have just cemented his position in the senior squad. I'd get rid of Jessie before I got rid of TDL.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

For the first time in a while we have a goal kicking forward to kick it too. Now we need a couple more. I'd hate to see him dropped when injured players return. The difference between us and the top 3 is they all have a number of specialist forwards who kick goals. At the moment we have 1. Lets keep him.

Well he kicked 60 in the WAFL last year. I think last night showed that he will be a valuable member of the team and do what Nick Davis couldn't do. He will keep getting better and when he finally adds some muscle, he'll have the "ol chooks" on RWO swooning.......

    Better go hide now.
