    Three Swans nominated for AFLPA MVP

    Shane Mumford is one of three Swans nominated for the AFLPA MVP Award

    Joining Mumford, Bolton and Malceski is young star Lewis Jetta, who has been nominated for the best first-year player award.

    The AFLPA MVP Awards, which are to be held on Monday night in Melbourne, are fast becoming one of the most respected and prestigious awards in football.

    The AFLPA MVP Awards are the only awards determined by players themselves.
    I swear to Buddha ... the only thing better is probably a charlie for Goodesy; then a bit more silverware for the buffet and hutch!!!

    I hate to spoil your party Annie - but EVERY team has three nominations.

    Each club nominates (by voting I believe) three players then players from ALL clubs cast their votes for the winner. I believe they are prevented from voting for their team mates.

    I suspect the process is slightly biassed in that Vic players tend to vote for Vic players - probably just because they know more about them.
