CHF is a key position that we currently do not have a specialist for.The options for CHF (in order of stupitity..last one the dumbest) are
1.Goodes: prodigous talent but not a natural CHF.Plays well as a follower all over the ground, better in the centre square bursting forward
2.LJ and/or Reid: great potential but too raw to be thrown to the wolves in such a tough position. Maybe in a year or two but maybe not this year.Definately worth grooming though.
3.Reg: Started as a forward. Now with LRT and CB back could he move to CHF and perform? This experiment might be worth a try for a quarter and see how it goes. Can always move him to CHB if needed there.
4.Mike Pyke (The "big Body" lovers). He can mark,he can handball,he can kick and has a huge body.Playfair got games last year on this basis, why not Mike now we have two ruckmen back?
5.White: He would need to step up but has it all there too.He has been tried and seems to fit better into the forward pocket pack buster style who creates openings.
6.Nobody: Play the CHF next to the square and leave a paddock for Bradshaw to run into.Work on Bradshaw for the Coleman, feeding him from the centre.
7.Seaby: Same point as 4. But use Mike as the second ruckman.
We really need a specialist CHF to help win a Premiership and at this stage are there any other options to those listed above?
