I counted 30 changes including the coach. I don't know how that compares with other clubs but to me it seems an amazing rate of change over three seasons. And I don't think we've picked up too many duds; the list is looking pretty good with more potential to come through the blooding process.
An additional thought: picking up Henry may turn out to be a particularly astute choice. The ressies are much better off than most of their competitors, but I'm impressed with the spirit and the attacking approach he seems to have instilled in them. (Obviously I'm relying on our staunch band of ressie-watchers here). I wonder if we have a prospective senior coach-in-training.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
I mentioned to the guys on Sat that when I had the chance to be near the qtr time huddle in Canberra I was very impressed with both Henry and Crouchy with what they said to the boys. Henry seems very astute to me and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he becomes a senior coach one day.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
