The Swans are also in equal last spot for players used this season. That too is similar to 2005.
Damn I wish Rohan was playing.

Nothing like a good light bulb moment.
Try the AFL ladder predictor. The Swans came fourth at the end of the season on my reckoning.

The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
Thought I'd bring this back to the first page!!!!!!
Get used to it folks, I'm bringing this back at the end of every round when we're sitting on top of the ladder.
GO THE BLOODS!!!!
I have us either finishing 1st or 3rd depending on the hawks game
Saints. Home. Should win this as saints will be 2nd week on the road. Only danger is we spent all our tickets in perth.
GC. Away. GC have got themselves off the bottom, and will relax now. Win.
Carlton. Eithad. Danger game. Who knows which carlton will turn up.
Collingwood. ANZ. I honestly think we can win this. Collingwood are tiring after 2 GF years.
Dogs. Eithad. Dogs are running out of legs. Easy win.
Hawthorn. SCG. I'm not convinced the hawks are a good travelling team. I'd pencil this one in as a win.
Pussies. Geelong. Our best chance in this game is if Geelong are out of finals contention, and put the que in the rack. However if a geelong win gets them in the 8, they will come out blazing.
In summary, we can afford to drop a game to a non-top 4 side ('aints, carlton, pussies) which is a chance.... if we beat both Pies and Hawks at home.... and still finish top 4 or top 2. I think we can.
When was the last time we were first after 15 Rounds (other than last week)?

I dont like the comparisons to 1996 - that year I felt we may have finished on top but North were always the team that seemed the better chance to win the title (and so it was). There are a couple below us that still feel the same to me this year.
Lets channel 2005/2006 instead where we were a top four team but one or two always were pushed out as the better team (ie west coast and adelaide) and we proved them wrong (well once anyway).
Assume Sydney beat the Gold Coast tonight (28.7.12), it will be the first time since Round 20 1945 that the Swans find themselves on top, and one clear game ahead of second place during the second half of a home-and-away season
