Red face The Hawthorn Game needs to move to Homebush

Controversial I know for some but with the SCG half torn down the game needs to be treated like a blockbuster and moved to Homebush. Our finals will be played at Homebush and this is a rare opprtunity for us to really capitalise financially. What an atmosphere with 70,000 fans and the top two sides deep into the season playing. It woudl be night to rememebr and rank with the Brisbane '03 Final and the first Collingwood game. Not that i am getting ahead of my self!

No bigy. We'll get to host a final out at ANZ at some stage, where the masses can bask in our glory.

Fair point about the crowd potential but it won't happen. AFL would never change the schedule at such a late juncture and I think Swans will like the SCG advantage we have.

You've made a sensible suggestion, and I'm sure there would be people within the club thinking the same thing.

ANZ Stadium is available on that particular Saturday evening, so if we manage to beat Collingwood, I'm sure moving the Hawthorn game will be given serious consideration.

In the meantime, can we please focus all our energies on beating Carlton this weekend?

No way the scg is our home, homebush is a dump with zero atmosphere.

I can tell you for a fact it won't.
There are far more things to take into account then just the availability of the stadium and it would cost the AFL a small fortune to relocate the game, especially this late stage.

I'm devastated, first time I haven't been able to bring mates to a game. Usually pretty organized but only platinum seats left and I can't afford it. Would love for it to be relocated but also doubt it, there'd be so many more people willing to go (unlike v GWS right now, but give that time and hopefully it'll happen)

If the game was not moved, it might cost the club a small fortune in terms of potential gate takings, as well as losing a potent promotional tool for both club and code.

It would surprise me if something could not be negotiated.

Anyway, all eyes on the Blues for now. We can worry about attendances for Collingwood and Round 22 later.

Not when it's full. If you were there for Australia v Uruguay you wouldn't say that.
Today's a draft of your epitaph
