We need a big proper forward to support Reid and a key defender to replace Grundy. We seem to have talent coming through in other areas.
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

As I said in another thread; throw Armstrong at Reid's feet now.

Seaby, TDL, white and Meredith won't be on much combined. Goddard will want a motzah. We still need plenty to tie up JPK. I would love Goddard in a swans guernsey, just don't think we can afford him atm

Lots of variables. If Jude goes another year he might consider a pay cut in the interest of the team. Right now Goodard is there for the taking. From all reports the Saints are up to Pussy's bow with their salary cap. Give the man an offer. At 27 years old he is a perfect fit for us.

Don't disagree, just hope we have room.

GWS picked up a compo pick to be used after their first round pick as part of their 17yo trading last year, came from Adelaide I think.

Melbourne has activated the two compo picks it got for Scully, one after their first round pick and one to be taken between the picks of the eighth and ninth placed teams.

Bullies activated their compo pick which is taken after their first round pick.

Brisbane have an end of first round compo pick and Richmond a second round compo pick.

It was in Tankers and Bullies interests to have low finishes this year to maximise the value of those compo picks - and both succeeded :-)

Doesn't that mean it comes after Adelaide's first pick, not their own?

Yep liz is correct. Draft order:

    1 GWS
    2 GC
    3 MELB
    4 MELB
    5 WB
    6 WB
    7 PA
    8 BRIS
    9 RICH
    10 ESS
    11 CARL
    12 STK
    13 MELB

Conceding that late behind means Richmond pick at 9 instead of 11, Bombers and Blues move down 1 spot

Richmond still manage to end up in 9th place one way or the other.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

We have a lot of dead wood on our list that needs a clean out. TDL, White, Seaby, Moore are never going to be senior players. Delist /trade they lot of them. Keep Morton and Walsh for one more year tops. Armstrong has 2 years to prove himself.

We might find enough cap room to go after a free agent forward after that.

Question on compensation for uncontracted players

    Let's say that:
    1. Moore gets picked up by Port Adelaide under the free agency, and
    2. Seaby goes to GWS under the one uncontracted player per club deal

Do we get compensation picks for each of these players?

Lets say a supermodel wants to look after me into retirement.

    Moore will retire and coach with the Swans;

Seaby will not be wanted by anyone. GWS will have Bogan play another year.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.
