2013 - The Pre-Season. Pump your tyres here

We're coming to a great time in the footy calendar. There's usually a sense of optimism around clubs - some gun recruits, and other players training the house down.
Always a bit of a merry-go-round with players and coaches; and it's taken longer than usual for some clubs to get their coaching panels right. Some interesting clearances coming through as well.

What's the vibe in Sydney footy land? Why are you and your club going to dominate in 2013?

I have heard a few rumours that all is not well at balmain, coaches are gone and a player exodous on the cards.

    Anyone heard anymore?

Isn't this the reason that the last thread was closed?

Which clearances have taken your eye Norris?

One coach is gone, but the other is still there. I hear they've lost some players, but it's hardly as catastrophic as what some have hinted.

Club Spokesman is David Yole. A barnacle on the game of AFL, no wonder they are in so much strife.....

With club spokesman speaking one would say that he would be trying to pump there tyres up, I would say likely more gone than not. However one would soon tell in a few weeks anyway.

Few changes I didnt see coming.

Auburn now back in Div 2
Norwest in Div 3 (only senior team)
Mac Uni in Div 4 (new)
    Sydney Uni Div 5 (new)
Moorebank Div 5 (sort of new but not unexpected)

Pekay whats going on mate - I know the RAAF has an effect but has another magical influence hurt?

Don't you love it when we start a new thread....everyone is positive and supportive. And then it slowly goes down the gurgler.
Loved your input BIGSHOW and wish you well for the new season and new club.

So......positive and supportive......who is to be the big five this year in PD ? How about we say, not necessarily in order.....

I'll go first, no particular order, my final five in PD, 2013, is:-

    UNSWEasternBulldogs
    Penno
    St George
    North Shore
    UTS

Honourable mention to Baulko and Wollongong.
Special achievement award to Manly....wish you well in PD guys !

I tend to agree that they'll be the top five - daylight between them and the rest.
UNSW-ES haven't done anything wrong over the off-season, and would have to be confident of their chances of going back to back. North Shore and Penno are sure to be up there at the business end of the season.

Seems that Luffy has signed a two year deal to play suburban footy in Melbourne. Another Docker bites the dust.
Anyone got any more on this ?

    BIGSHOW ?

Yeah mate I spoke to Luffy today and due to his hairdresser refusing to locate and a statewide ban on solariums Luffy will not be heading down south.
