    Sydney, drugs ?

I hear Dave Missons name now being mentioned in relation to fitness staff who have been moved on from clubs. No one saying why, but could be for not going down the peptide route, or for going down the peptide route. Who knows ?

If the 4 corners reports are right and up to 6 AFL clubs are involved, it would seem that for the Swans to have had the success they have had over the last decade, that they would almost have to use supplements to stay ahead of the 6 cheaters.

Our ability to take average draft picks and make them stars also suggest something unusual is happening here.

Im worried we are going to be dragged into this mess.

    Oh geez. Who's Dave Missons?
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Not at all. In Jimmys opinion that's far from evidence that we have doped. Playing a role and turning a hard nosed midfielder like Parker who was pick 30 has nothing to do with doping in Jimmy's opinion.

Whilst I am sure you are not intending any malice over this comment, as a Swans fan who is immensly proud of our on field success and off field conduct, I find this assertion insulting on the club. It is a VERY long bow to draw to think that supplements must be involved to remain successful over other clubs.

Misson came on board at Melbourne along with Neeld & Craig, and is. responsible for bringing Stephen Bates on board as the club doctor. It's Bates that has links to Dank.

Misson left the Swans along with Ross Lyon, many years ago, before this whole peptide thing was on the radar, so, on this issue, we should be in the clear as far as any connection with Misson goes. That's not to say its impossible we could be involved in them via another person, though.

But Misson was the man in charge in the years of our enviably short injury list. His primary innovation at Sydney, as far as we know, was the computerised tracking of injuries and recovery.

Of course, PED's are so rife in sport you'd be crazy to think the Swans are above suspicion.

Not only insulting but potentially libellous.
The club would not be amused.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Yeah, good luck getting a libel case based on "that sports team/player is so good they must be on drugs" up in court. It's about as libellous as my weekly assertions that the men in green must be on the take, and I yell that at them.

Dave Misson left because his wife had been appointed to a senior position in Melbourne. St Kilda was quick top pounce when they knew he was available.

He was an outside consultant type figure that our main S+C guy brought in. When he moved on (and was replaced by some guy from the Roosters), Commando went, too.

I reckon it's a long bow..equivalent to saying that any team with any superiority over others is suspect! Were this to be the case, every winning team every week would be under suspicion. The inference that because the Swans can develop players from other clubs to a higher standard because of some suspicious dealings is, frankly, insulting to the hard work our coaches put in. And insulting to the guys who spend their working lives researching for men who we can develop. And insulting to the players who put in the work to get to where they are.
