Changes for round 6 v Brisbane

Our reserves have a bye which makes selection changes harder but I would keep Jetta in and have him play a full game. Brisi are struggling so it's a low risk game and if he can't find form in this game then he definitely deserves to be dropped.

You make no mention of Everitt, then you say he should be dropped. Please explain.

I was disappointed in and for Drey against Sainters. Just doesn't know HOW to grab a golden opportunity to say "here I am, and I am staying". Made a comment during the game that he had disappeared and in conversation said that he would be the sub imho. I was right. that's kind of sad isn't it. aaaaagghhhhh

It's just a standard default in the RWO options.

Hopefully Shaw will be available to return. We're missing him. Against Brisbane his continued absence can be covered, but would love to have him back in the team for the very tough run of games after that - Hawthorn, Collingwood, Essendon. If he misses many more, he might need a run in the reserves first to get some fitness back into his legs.

LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Time to give the Lions a taste of Lamb.

If Shaw is fit, it may be worth to give him a game in the Reserves and bring him back for the Hawks. It will give Armstrong another much needed game in the seniors (I thought he was better against the Saints).

Probably Dre is the one to go. Agree that he was a quiet on Thursday.

Brisbane is the ideal opponent to blood Lamb. He needs some game time as he's surely ready to play and he might be an important depth player later in the year. This is the sort of game that we can afford to rest someone if needed or juggle selections and get some experience into a youngster who deserves it.

To be honest, didn't really need to mention Everitt as you could hardly tell he was on the field, while I was watching the game I actually forgot he was playing and that's sad.

I think Lamb needs a game, but I wouldn't put him as a sub, I down agree with people playing their first game as a sub, they need to get straight into it and see how the compete, not just when everyone is tired.

Is Jake Lloyd a rookie? Because I'd love too see him play aswell!
Jett's to stay in for a full game.

Jetta to get a full game.... Finally started to look switched on....Perfect game for him to find 2012 form.

Problem for me is, who to make sub.....Don't think it works for a first gamer, but then again...what do I know?

Looking ahead, it may be that we will need to rethink out structure in preparation for the game against the Dons. They are being very successful with 5 players in the 2m category (3 genuine rucks plus 2 very tall KPPs not counting Dustin Fletcher) plus the usual number of players in the medium tall category. This has seemed to compliment their small players and given them more presence later in games (because as all players get more tired later in the game the tall guys don't get any shorter).

We are probably the only team that has the depth to counter this (at least later in the year when Tippett starts playing). In the meantime we have the option of playing Jesse White in addition to Mike & the Mummy. Playing White at CHF could enable the use of Sam Reid on a flank and would really stretch the height of most defences. The fact that Goodes can also play on a flank or on ball means that the option of a giant forward line later in the year is a real one. The change might also take the pressure off Reid who atm is getting the best or second best big defender.

Also looking forward to later in the year when Rohan comes back into the side (fingers crossed).
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!
