According to Neil Cordy's twitter account, AJ's knee has failed again! Is looking at the Lars option this time. Sad for the young fella but hopefully the Lars will work wonders a la Mal! Wish him all the best!

Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09
Here's the story:
Johnson suffers knee setback - SYDNEYSWANS.com.au
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
Stunningly disappointing news, really feel for AJ.
That will be two seasons lost if he goes traditional so think that LARS will seriously considered, particularly when the LARS poster boy played along side him in a flag!
damn..... really was looking forward to getting him back for rd 1 next year.
Keep your chin up AJ, we Swans fans have long memories and we won't forget any time soon just how good you were in 2012, and just how good you'll be when you get back on the park
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
Since Davo and Schaubs moved on I've had some degree of emotional detachment from the individual fortunes of the players (yes, including big Jesse) but I have to say that hearing this I was completely gutted for the kid.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
After all that work and waiting. Terribly disappointing.
Hang in there AJ - we'll wait.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
Today's a draft of your epitaph
Hope the poor lad gets LARS and gets back on the field asap. I think he will be a very important player for us over the next few years.
Sue the surgeon!!
Makes you wonder what sort follow up investigations they have in place to ensure the graft is working. Surely some type of regular scan is in order.
