Thx for the heads up, sounds like a must see...
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09
He does give Eddie a massive serve in the interview, basically says that the AFL is secrelty run by Eddie or along those lines.
Eddie always makes out that he and Richard are really good mates and it seems when Richard is asked it seems the mateships only goes one way. It seems to be the typical behaviour from McGuire, he passively aggressively suggest that the person he is about to give a massive serve too are mates, it's sort of a disclaimer. Then he unleashes on the person.
Ed: "See XX and I go back a long way and we always end up discussing our views over dinner, he knows i have no problem with him, but i have to say XX is the most pathetic person i have known to do this. He does this and that and this and that. But like i said, we both go back a long way and i will be telling him once again all this the next time we meet up"
Yeah sure Eddie! How the hell has Eddie McGuire never ever been swayed to go join politics is beyond me. He is a perfect politician and i dont say that in a nice way too.
ABC News TV Grandstand, can't seem to find this, channel number?
TIA
I assume this is ABC News 24, you can watch online:
ABC News 24 - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
On Channel 202 ABC News 24 HD for those with foxtel.
7.30pm AEST tonight called Grandstand.
Totally underwhelming, I thought.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing. - Edmund Burke
I found it really interesting . He comes across as very calm and measured in his thoughts and speaking, and yet the depth of his antipathy for Eddie Maguire is striking. He's obviously a very successful and accomplished businessman. He won't put up with Eddie's outright lies, and he wants to tell as many people as possible that they are lies. He obviously feels that his impending retirement releases him from a need for ongoing diplomacy.
