Round 20 Collingwood 14-16-100 def Sydney 10-11-71 ANZ Stadium Saturday August 10.

The Pies domination over The Swans has finally come to end and Sydney is looking ominous after two comprehensive victories over Collingwood since the last time these two met at Olympic Park in the home and away season.
The first quarter see's The Swans burst from the blocks and after 15 minutes have kicked four goals to none and it's looking like the tables have finally turned and The Swans hold all the cards now, but the ever-reliable umps won't let it happen and Cloke kicks the Pies first after the most deliberate hands in the back by Cloke on Teddy results in no free kick. End of the first and the good guys are up by two straight goals.
Second quarter and The Swans are having trouble finding the big sticks and kick 1-5, unfortunately The Pies are having no such trouble up the other end and kick 4-2 and lead by 3 at half time.
The second half opens with our boys kicking two in two minutes but the Pies hit back with the next three to reclaim the lead and never lose it again and even with big Kurt kicking six and Teddy having a brilliant 200th game, the Pies register a 29 point victory.
Goals - Tippett 6, Shaw, Jack. Bolton. Kennedy.
Brownlow - 3 Pendlebury (C), 2 Swan (C), 1 McVeigh.
Skilton - Tippett, McVeigh, Richards.

Round 21 Sydney Swans 18-10-118 def St Kilda 8-11-59 SCG Sunday August 18

Every result had fallen The Swans way so far in round 21 and all that was needed was a victory over the hapless Saints to ensure a top four finish to season 2013.
One minute in and The Saints slot the first of the day but it doesn't take long for The Swans to answer with a beautiful bouncing goal by everyone's favourite retiree Jude. Both teams go goal for goal, behind for behind to be all tied up at the first change.
One minute into the second and the angry ant breaks the tie and puts the home team back in front but The Saints hit back with back to back goals before The Swans settle to kick three in a row and go into the main break 14 points up.
Sydney puts the peddle to the metal in the third and kick the first four of the quarter before umpires pet Reiwoldt gets gifted a fifty to kick The Saints first of the quarter.
The biggest event of the day happened in the 29th minute of the third when the much loved Gary Rohan makes his long awaited return to the SCG to a huge ovation from the crowd as the substitute for Kurt Tippett, who had kicked five goals and The Swans lead by 51pts at the last change.
With the result a foregone conclusion the only question was by how much, but The Saints battled on bravely and limited the damage with the final result a 59 point victory and a guaranteed top 4 berth.
Goals Tippett 5, White 3, Pyke 2, Lamb 2, McGlynn 2, Bolton 2, Jack 2.
Brownlow - 3 Kennedy, 2 Steven (StK), 1 Tippett
