Thanks peoples!!!
Thanks peoples!!!
Great work Scott - I wouldn't know what to do without my RWO fix when the Swannies have me down (or wonderfully elated!)
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
I've just spent the last 2 hours testing RWO in the new server.
One minor glitch on the Wiki, but all seems to be working well.
[QUOTE=ScottH;639229]I've just spent the last 2 hours testing RWO in the new server.
Such dedication is admired by all on this site. Thanks again Scott
Testing is complete.
We should be moving soon.
Buckle up!!
The final step of the migration is to point the domain redandwhiteonline to the new IP address.
This can take a while to filter through the internet, so please be patient.
You may see the forums are closed until the new IP reaches you.
Usually within 24 hours.
I may also have to turn the forums off overnight whilst it happens.
Thanks for all your work in keeping the site alive. I just sent my donation through PayPal, sorry about the delay.
Tally Board:
Donations have reached : $566
THANK YOU ALL!!
Cost of Migration: $519 (More than quoted, of course).
And no RWO email. I'm working my way thru it slowly.
Leaves about 12 months hosting money.
Thanks again!!
PS: I've set up a RWO through a recommended website called Cloudflare that "protects and accelerates any website online".
If you have any issues please let me know.
RWO email is working.
I won't tell you how much time I spent on that.
I've made some minor changes to the site and the Cloudflare settings.
Seems to me that the site is the fastest it has been for a long time.
Comments/thoughts??
I'm thinking of offering redandwhiteonline.com email addresses @ $USD2/month.
Would people be interested??
I agree about the site being faster than before, especially on busy threads such as game day: negligible waiting time getting on, immediate in-and-out posting. Much better than before.
I probably won't pick up RWOemail, two addresses already is enough for me.
Thanks again for all the work you put in Scott, very much appreciated.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
