Care to provide some proof on that assertion Barry? I would be genuinely interested to see what the injury rates are across grounds.
The problem with the surface at ANZ is it invariably detracts from the quality of the game - with the poor surface often leading to terrible footing for players, especially on the wings where the stands move in and out. This will get worse in future seasons, should the grand overhaul of ANZ happen and the stands at each end can move in as well.

Yes! On each side of the ground, when they moved the stands in and out again the grass has to be replaced where the tracks supporting the stands are. When an AFL game is played there on the same weekend as an NRL game, this can mean the players are running across new grass laid only 24-48 hours prior. Hardly ideal.
