Just arrived in Adelaide. The plane crew suggested we might expect a few showers this afternoon but the low cloud doesn't yet look like it holds any rain. It's a lovely mild day with barely a whisper of a breeze. If this holds out, it will be nigh on perfect conditions for footy.

What about also having to overcome Wretchmond in the last round? :-)

Nick Smith is out and replaced by Jeremy Laidler. Jake Lloyd is a sub.

Smith is a big out, assume he would have gone to Wingard

Agree, big out. And Westhoff must be in as Port are reported to have no changes.

Smith is a big loss given he would have controlled Wingard. Much more a 50/50 game now.

Nick Smith ruled out of tonight's match due to some tightness in his back. Should be ok for next week. #goswans

Port's midfield will really have to lift to win this one. Gray, Wines, Polec and Boak haven't been getting the ball and Wingard and Schulz haven't been getting the supply.

Our mids are in reasonable form so even with Trengove back and in front of their home crowd Port will have play like they haven't played since the SCG in round 13 to win.

Fun fact: In that game they won every single stat except for interchanges, free kicks and rebound 50s.
