By the way is there a better kick in the game than McVeigh?

Agree. Not sure he is comfortable or happy with his role.

He took a couple of hits in the 1st half and may have been a bit restricted, as was Bird, who went forward after his knock to the knee. But they had to play out the game. An number of players took some hits and looked sore. Longmire may have to rethink his 'nobody rests' policy.

Biggs and Lloyd both stepped up today.
Towers not quite there yet, but showed he can do some good things.
    Rohan and Rampe were great.

I've been trying to figure what is wrong with KJ this year, because his stats are not that far off last year's AA season. He doesn't seem to be kicking the ball all that well. But not sure why that should be, since many have said he is carrying a rib injury. He's still attacking the ball and player hard.

Had to work didn't see the game unfortunately, late night replay on Fox by the looks of it for me now.

Biggs played well it seems and should be upgraded at years end but what about Towers who is out of contract I assume, is he showing enough?

Goodes do much today against the wooden spooners?

    Gday 707.

Biggs was pretty good - looks like he might make it. Towers promises much and does a bit- not sure with him at his age - he has a couple of weeks to make the grade.

Goodesy was ok but a bit quiet as you'd expect at this time of the year.

Not much of a game but good fun at the ground.

Funny hearing everyone call Lance a hack as he couldn't get his 10th. Me included. It was a jovial atmosphere.

Mal looked great out there from the stands.

McHack was also outstanding. Just so dam clean.

Horse said in the presser that JPK had hamstring tightness but didn't feel anything go. Probably the best news under the circumstances. Fingers crossed.

+4 points too. Don't forget they still have to knock off Freo at Patersons. Should be a cracking game.

One other thing at the ground. Lloyd is a great gut runner, but particularly to smart spots. Regularly served as the player to find space and make a switch across the back half work. Match it with his ball use, given he is generally a good kick, and he's very valuable.

I know we're going to have some choices to make re best 22 if everyone is fit, but right now, he'd be in mine.

Yeah, our depth is amazing. Missing McGlynn, Shaw and Kennedy. Lloyd and Biggs were excellent value and even Towers provided some run and good contests. I'm loving Parker's season.

Speaking of depth, good to see Tony Armstrong getting plenty of game time.

Hawthorn would have to beat Freo by about 5 goals to overtake us on percentage.

Rohan's pace streaming out of defence is an awesome offensive weapon for us. Really happy with that.
