Just wondering if any RWOers attended the Guernsey Presentation / Hall of Fame last night. While we have all the videos on the club site it would be nice to hear from any of the attendees. Did you enjoy the night? Any inside news garnered?, etc.

I'm guessing no one attended!
Or they want to keep it all to themselves.
Chillin' with the strange Quarks
I was there, so yes, there were no riff raff.
For once, I actually enjoyed the night.
I was placed on a table in the middle of the room, rather than in the usual back corner.
The players mingled beforehand; during the breaks (on their way to the dunny) and briefly at the end of the night.
I know it's difficult to cater for 1,000 people... but my food was awesome. I started with lamb strips, then the duck maryland on mashed sweet potato and finished with a mango pudding with ice cream. Competition dishes!!!
I didn't drink a lot (yeah, I know, WTF), but the wait staff were just a finger click away. I don't know why they don't just keep the bottles on the table... saves my clicking fingers!!
All the speeches were entertaining... Andrew Pridham is a scream!!
At the end of the night, I was having a chat with MickyO, Macca and John Longmire, when another player came up and said it's going to take ages to get out the front door.
Next thing I know, I was being bundled through the fire escape/security doors, and we made our way out the service escalators and almost through the kitchen. How Macca knows this sneaky way out of the casino we'll never know.
Lance was in front of me on the escalators; and John Longmire was two people behind me. I kept tapping Buddy and saying loudly, stop saying that about John Longmire Buddy, he's behind us. You DO want to get picked for round 1 don't you? We could hear Horse laughing.
I love this club and its functions!!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Thanks AnnieH for the goss. Glad you had a good time. I often dream of making it to one of these nights but while circumstances prevent that happening I enjoy finding out what happens away from the club sanctioned coverage.
