Only 10th? You're a tough man to please, especially when it comes to ruckmen.
I might be going out on a limb here, but I'm predicting that Michael Talia wins the Best Bagman Award.
The fact Hannebery and Parker won't be top 5 is an indication of why this wasn't a good year.
1. Franklin
2. Grundy
3. Kennedy
4. Llyod
5. Heeney
Of all our players, I thought Lloyd will 'improve' this year.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.
The lighting at the dinner (or at least how it's showing up on the stream) isn't doing the speakers any favours. At first I thought it was Adam Spencer auditioning for a role as a kryptonite infested Superman enemy but the second speaker seems inflicted with the same ailment.
I think Adam Spencer looks like Jarrad McVeigh, or maybe it's the other way round. I'm glad Henry Playfair and Josh Francou left the club. We had far too many people at the club that resembled Macca.
It's pretty ordinary coverage. Each year they show less and less of what those at the dinner can see. I don't understand why they can't stream the highlights of each game that are clearly being shown at the venue. Even more irritating is that they don't show the screen with the votes so it's impossible to see how players are going. In past years they've at least read out the top handful of vote getters for each game. I've used it to keep a running tally of the scores of the favourites.

Thanks for the updates guys (& gals)
Rising Star: Melican - not a surprise, especially after they announced there is an age limit (U22) which means that Newman wasn't in the running.
Best clubman: Callum Sinclair. He goes above and beyond all other players in his community work and his enthusiasm at club and sponsor functions. It's nice that they've explained what's qualified him for an award that often is non-transparent. I imagine his enthusiasm and determination to improve is also appreciated around the club.
