Looks like we're playing the Sharks. They're 42 points up, late in the third quarter. Handily, they're also slogging their way through a heavy track.

Just checking the radar, that track is about to get heavier, with a nasty storm heading for Sharks.
And by the way, if we play next Saturday, the forecast is, sunny, 23 degrees and a light easterly. Nice!
Best Players: J. Maibaum, J. Brown, J. Rose, H. Marsh, D. Cameron, K. Veerhuis
Grand Final will be Sunday 1pm at Southport
I guess Towers will be available, not sure on Dawson whether he’s played enough games
Robinson and Newman would qualify but not sure if they would want to play after today.
Pink Foote and Amartey not on the injury list. Possible ins I suppose.
Finals eligibility 16.2
(b) Any listed player must have played a minimum of three (3) Competition home and away Matches for the club to qualify to play in the Competition finals series.
(c) In the event a listed player has played five (5) matches or more in the AFL, he must have played at least nine (9) Competition home and away Matches to qualify to play in the Competition finals series.
From the side today, this means the following players are ineligible:
Rohan - 11 AFL and 4 NEAFL games
Marsh - 9 AFL and 6 NEAFL games.
Fox - 10 AFL and 6 NEAFL games.
These players also ineligible:
Towers - 8 AFL and 8 NEAFL games. Missed by 1 NEAFL game.
Robinson - 8 AFL and 7 NEAFL games. Missed by 2 NEAFL games.
Reid - only played 2 NEAFL games (1 and a quarter actually)
Eligible:
Newman - 10 AFL and 9 NEAFL games. Just qualified.
Dawson - 4 AFL and 6 NEAFL games.
Foote - 6 NEAFL games
Were Rohan, Marsh and Fox only able to play today because Sydney were fielding an AFL team. Rough on them and also Towers in being ineligible but surprising that Newman can play.
Yes the rules I posted only apply when the senior side is no longer active.
It's unfair on the players that have been travelling emergencies during the season because they played neither AFL or NEAFL.
Oh well those are the rules.
Surely Reid is eligible if available as he did not play five games this year or is it five games in their career?
See point (a), Reid only played 2 NEAFL games this season when the minimum required is 3.
Are the Best Players really the best or is it like we always do, name players for reasons other than being in the best?
Cameron 5th best, no COR, is that reality?
