Thread: Changes Round 21 Demons v Swans

    Anyone OUT?

  2. #62
Still no word on O'Riordan and Grundy...

  3. #63
    Swans $3.00
    Dees $1.40

Bookies must know something we don’t.
Dees haven’t beaten anyone in the top 9.
    Gawn didn’t train .

I'm not a punter, but tempted by those odds

Also, they are saying that Reid is still 3 weeks away. It’s hard to see him back now before season’s end.

We made the mistake of not bringing Reid straight back into a grand final in 2014 (or 2016, can't recall exactly).
Pray we don't make that mistake again.

Yes - Dees have an in-form midfield, and the best ruck in the league. We don't. Also, our best player doesn't train either, so I wouldn't read too much into Gawn walking laps.

We will be smashed. 30+ points.

We’ve got a good record against Melbourne, but if their midfield gets in top, as is likely, it could get ugly.

They are weak in defence and on the outside.

Going in fearing the worst but hoping for the best.

    Odds are spot on
Doesn't mean we can't win though

But in my opinion they have priced the game correctly

    Reid comes back.
    We lose.
Chorus of "why did the Swans bring back half done players"
    Repeat with Hanners etc.

To be honest there have been times where I've advocated playing players who were not fully fit, and I was wrong.
Generally it was done out of sentiment in a final.

    But no longer.
I now see the merit in the argument others have had that you only ever play fully fit and match ready players.

    Reid - seaosn
Hanners - only play him if we need to build his value, otherwise why would we play him based on recent form?

I think it has to be a case by case basis. If we stuck to that, Buddy would be sitting in the stands at the moment.
