Well, that question 'who will kick the first goal has been answered.....Varcoe. An omen?

Everything wrong with AFL summed up by C7 Commentary team saying 'Collingwood have this under control' less than 10 minutes into the AFL GF...They could be right of course...but still...it's clear who they support...
That Stevenson has something.....deserved Rising Star winner starting well today!

Well, they are playing better.....but no doubt the crowd is definitely helping them and not inspiring the Eagles.......and you're right, if the league was actually fair this wouldn't be happening.
If this turns into a thrashing, it's time for the interstate clubs to put on some real pressure to change this Vic-centric MCG GF crap.
That's the thing isn't it. Is the league fair? Is it fair that the interstate team must play on the lower ranked teams home ground? In front of a partisan crowd. And the pressure of a Vic Centred media, a Vic Centred crowd, umpires who are mostly Victorian, an administration that is Vic Centred. Seriously, it's the VFL with the rest of us just invited to pay their bloody bills..the commentary on this game is so one sided it's a reflection of a totally unprofessional league...
And the SA and WA clubs have to cope with a time difference too .
Certainly Kennedy missing the first seemed like a bad omen, but to his credit he's helped bring his team back into it.
Jetta has played well; he looks a senior player in this side. Interesting they use him back in a way which makes use of his long kicking, whereas we tried to make use of his pace, often forward.
1/4 time score a little bit better. Hoping for a good game (and a Weagles win).
Ouch! I can see why Ryan was limping.
Perfect start to this game! Awesome! Collingwood get 5 goals up. Dominating. Their supporters are overjoyed. Eddie’s heart is aflutter.
This is what I was hoping for. They already had one hand on the Cup!
Then West Coast come back - a one point victory over Collingwood ... they’ve done it that way before. The cocky Magpie army is devastated, leaving early in droves. Eddie’s heart is shattered into a billion pieces, tears streaming down his cheeks, to cascade down his plethora of chins. Bucks is back in the firing line where his coaching career belongs. A disgruntled Darcy Moore is seen boundary-side on the phone, deep in conversation, with speculation he’s negotiating a to move to the Swans for unders to spite his former team. All is right in the football world again
Umpires are really getting sucked in by this Collingwood crowd this quarter. Several decisions have either been ignored or gone Collingwoods way.
De Goey is class. Yeo is going to have to have a storming second half to recover his reputation.
