[QUOTE=S.S. Bleeder;781670]There's been talk all season about The Crows offloading one of the Crouch's. As usual, they'll probably want to head home to Victoria and someone like Hawthorn will reap the benefits as usual.
It seems that the only very good players that we can attract are;
* Players we offer overs to (Buddy and Tippett - isn't going to happen),
* Players getting away from the limelight (Buddy and Plugger), or
* Players wanting to come home (Davis - extremely rare).
There are very few players that fit this bill.
We are going to have to pick the eyes out of who is available and pick a player that isn't getting the opportunities at his current club.[/QUOTE
In 2008, 2009 and 2010, we picked up Mattner, Shaw, Kennedy, Mcglynn and Mumford. We need to replicate this to a degree I reckon. Not sure if it can be done anymore.

Eventually midfield mostly and forward.a la Bontempelli and Martin. Great decision maker.

Macca's pulled the plug...

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Macca, what a legend. Hope he can get fit for one last hurrah against Saints in the final round. It will be interesting to see how he goes in a coaching role next year. He certainly exhibits great footy sense on the field and if this translates into what he does in the coaching box, he could be the potential successor for Horse.
No suprise about Macca. Will be making the trip up the Hume to farewell him should he make it up for Rd 23 (which looks his only chance from here you would think). A great leader for our club, and a very fine footballer to go with it. I reckon he will make a fantastic coach too.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
Yes, please. Our KPD depth has taken a hit in recent times with AJ being delisted, Reg retiring (and, not so long ago, Teddy). Add to that the question mark of Maibaum's future and Melican's hopefully temporary drop in performance. Francis shows a lot of promise and shouldn't cost the earth if he's willing. A big if.
Has anyone noticed that Hayward is gone for the season. Had hip surgery last Friday apparently, according to Horse.

McVeigh is our next coach.
