Agree with the outs, not so much the ins

Really think we should've bought in a couple of runners - COR and Rose most deserving on form.

More talls against a fast GWS team on a dewy SCG is asking for trouble, the MC appear to be losing the plot

Agree. All of Reid, Melican, McCartin and Blakey seems very odd.

Last week our biggest deficiency was hardy a couple of lumbering talls. It won't be this week either. The motivation of the coaching panel is impossible to understand.

We are going to get spanked!
We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!

We will be beaten by skills (again). They will hit targets, we will miss them. I think the only cure for that is our youngsters gaining more experience.

    We hit targets!!!
Unfortunately, they play on the other team.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I think melican coming in is a decent decision given the tall and very good he's forward line.

Blakey on the other hand is a mystery. We really need someone like COR or Rose at the moment who is quick and can provide pressure. Hope Blakey snr isn't influencing the match day committee to much

This discussion about 'lumbering talls' overlooks that Blakey would be in the top 6 fastest players in this 22.

As Longmile says, another tall back is necessary given the Giants' forward line. Melican is really the only option given Grundy and Maibaum are out.

Fair post - COR should be one of those youngsters. Hope it is only match ups that is stopping him being picked. Notice he is picked as a midfielder in NEAFL.

So if Blakey was 180cm but had exactly the same attributes ie pace, can win own ball in the air and on the ground, accurate left boot no one would be complaining because he wouldn't be considered "tall". He actually has the skill set of a mid who can play tall if required. However, if Horse plays him as another tall, then that would be a waste of time. He needs to be run on the wing and through the middle like he was in the NEAFL last week.

Even if he plays as a mid it’s still a poor selection as there are better options available (and I don’t think he’s a capable afl mid yet anyway)

Selection is very confusing. Some seem to be all about getting games into youngsters regardless e.g. Blakey, yet we are still giving games to golden oldies like Jack

Confusing is an understatement, I've got no idea what the discussion must look like at Match Committee, strange days indeed!
