My aunty alerted me to an error in the Herald Sun reporting on the round 24 fixture. It listed our game against Melbourne as being at the MCG instead of the SCG. I thought they probably just did a typo. Nope. In the corresponding article Jon Ralph reported that Melbourne were hosting the Swans at the MCG on the Sunday at 3:20pm.
I had to reassure my aunty that they stuffed up and that the match was still going to be played at the SCG.

I just think out of deference to the "spiritual home of footy" all our home games should be played at the MCG. And maybe all our
away games too. There's no reason we should have to play Freo at their new money stadium in Perth. That place has no history,
no ambience, no ingrained smell of Sherrin leather wafting around. I really like the sound of a Tuesday arvo away game at "the
G". And the Herald Sun reporters would be able to find the place. And that's the main thing. But then again, would they recognise
the teams playing? Maybe not.
