So slick from Blakey. He’ll take his game to the next level this year I reckon.

Hello my fellow swannies fans- so nice to see you all tonight.

Looking a little rusty down back at the moment-but Paps looking great....

Of course Gawn is just impossible- but Grundy doing a pretty good job- he looks mobile and enthusiastic...

Hope you all are well and looking forward to another great season with you...

Roberts looking OK I think - not perfect but not out of his depth.

Paps very good. Grundy will obviously make a huge difference

A lot to like so far. Conceding plenty of I/50s and struggling in the contest a bit, but looking really good by foot. I'm enjoying the focus on trying to lower the eyes and kick more low. Though in doing so we blew two good chances for inside 50s to forwards with a lot of space.

Roberts continuing on from where he started in pre-season - really great to see. And Blakey is a joy to watch when he just trusts his instincts like he did for that kick inside.

Good game so far - liking a lot of what I've seen.

Shannon Noll singing 'Sweet Caroline' at quarter time! Bloody hell.

That was a really touching tribute for Jesse and Luke before the game. The placement of the goal umpire flags under the floral arrangement really got me.

Nice to be in the lead! A bit lucky as they have had more scoring shots.

    Some of the bad....

Rampe and Melican? asleep and let Fritsch play on, could have easily been a goal.

Almartey needs to chase more when the other team has the ball. He gave away an easy outlet kick a couple of times that quarter as he was no where near his opponent.

Umpires are crappy. There was a play where two different Melbourne players dropped the ball within seconds of each other and no call.

The high tackle call on Rampe? looked crap too, the Melbourne player ducked and shrugged after he was wrapped up around the upper arms and caused the high contact. No call on Gawn shoving Grundy in the back out of a ruck contest...

Hope we can keep the lead with that BS going on.

I was going to compliment him before, but then he did that turnover in the middle that almost cost us. But yes, he has been pretty good. Grundy also good, probably be even better, if the umpires started penalising Gawn for pushing in the back.

I've been meaning to do this before now but here goes.....it's Amartey, not ALmartey. Just sayin'.
