Any takers??
Probably no one will and it would take someone's spot - but what a shocking decision by North.

The Roos have shot themselves in the shinbone on this one. He is still, if not the best, then at least in the top 2 or 3 Roos players week in week out. He is still not good enough to take anyone's spot at the swans though.
Nope.
May get a gig at the Lions or the Suns. Freo or Tigers etc
I'd be pissed if we went this way, not that I think it's remotely on the cards

Would prefer Sweet Caroline.
And yes, self-inflicted damage.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
Maybe we've got Sweet Caroline all wrong.
MAYBE it's an ode to Caro Wilson?
And maybe she is happy about this and has the Swans' back (Goodes)
More Swans positive promotion to come?

Let's not...
Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09
I would take him. He can have McVeigh's spot.
Don't much like Boomer.
Could be the next Stevie J tho. Could easily go around for any of the struggling clubs ... or a side that is struggling to take that next step up the ladder (perhaps ... North??)
He's still good enough to make a number of sides & would be a handy backup/depth player
He has the desire to continue is there. I wonder if he'd consider another club (Tuck didn't when Hawthorn tapped him in the shoulder, even though the Saints were interested).
For Boomer, any lifeline will be his only opportunity to add to his record.
He's a dickhead

Pass. We have a lot of youngsters in line.
No, no, no, no, no, no - just no.
When playing youth has paid such dividends for us this year, why would we go get an over the hill list clogger in (which is what he would be for us). Yes he is still amongst Norf's better players, but he is hardly anything on what he once was, and his selfish play on Saturday cost Norf dearly on a couple of occasions.
"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."
Doesn't suit us but I think he'd be great for a season with a club that needed an experienced midfielder to help the younger guys. Melbourne, St Kilda and even the Bulldogs would be options I think. The club he went to would have to be looking to make a run at finals.
