With you 100%. This thought that Cal gets smashed in the ruck, leading to us being non competitive is misguided. We struggle because our midfield gets owned. JPK rediscovering his best, along with our young midfielders improving, is way more important then bringing in a slow, lumbering, giant who might win a few more hitouts (which will just fall randomly to the ground) over Cal, who at least contributes around the ground. Does anyone seriously think Naismith can even come close to matching Grundy or Gawn around the ground, when he can barely even keep up with McEvoy or Zac Smith?
