For all those advocating Mitchell, haven't seen them come up with a name on who goes out for him.

    That's Horse's problem.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Exactly the problem. I still say he has to displace bird. And that's gonna be very tough

Towers, Laidler, Shaw, Reid, Biggs and Goodes are all possible candidates depending on opposition match-ups.

No insult to the performance of those players but we may face a team (namely Fremantle) where ball extraction from the middle is critical, especially when we're likely to be smashed in hit-outs.

I don't mind sticking my neck out and saying Mitchell is more like Diesel than anyone else I've seen. How Longmire fits him into the top 22 is his problem. But a fit Mitchell must play.

    Reid's a late out - Towers in.

Thought it would have been an ideal chance to blood Nankervis....

    Laidler is a sub.

I thought Nankervis would get a run if Reid went out. Hopefully Reid will be ok next week - any reason given yet for Reid out ?
