John Heriot still skinny and lean, and with the same upright carriage. Good to see him about too.
Loose translation from the Latin is - I am tall, so I hit out.

Did anyone else catch Jordan Dawson's post match interview after his demolition job on WC? He was lauding Warner & Heeney's games this year & is their levels he would like to reach in being a goal kicking midfielder. Learnt alot about his craft from his time at the Swans, which he'd saluted.

He gives the general impression he misses the club and his teammates. Even if he has a nice big place at West Lakes.

Port Melbourne & South Melbourne legend Gary (The Barrel) Brice on Andy & Gazey (SEN), discussing Port Melbourne who are also celebrating their 150th anniversary this year.

Very entertaining interview & brings back memories of the glory days of the VFA. 22min interview:

The Swans site has a very good story on Brett Kirk, written by Joe Moore: who used to be a fairly regular contributor to this site.

Great read up to the point where he misuses the word "notoriety" (the state of being famous or well known for some bad quality or deed) horribly. Brett Kirk was never known for bad qualities or bad deeds, quite the opposite in fact.

Josh Kennedy and his ol man were hilarious on The Front Bar tonight (19th June 2024)

Yes, the Kennedys were a good laugh on The Front Bar last night. They start at 28.10:

Great Ricky Quade interview hosted by Sam Edmund on SEN "This Is Your Journey"

Nothing short of a miracle where the club is now from when it first moved to Sydney in such tumultuous circumstances. Ricky is one of the key figures who laid down the foundations, having served in many roles spanning almost 40 years.

Learnt some insights in his playing career, particularly how close he was with legendary coach Norm Smith, who threatened to quit if South dumped Quade when he did his ACL (it was a career ending injury back then).

Surprised to learn Ricky had brothers who played handful of games with Geelong which ended with knee injuries.

There are previous interviews in the Podcast list with John Rantall & Mitch Morton which are also worth a listen.
