If memory serves, Carlton were making a play to have all their away games played in Sydney.
Plans for South going to Sydney were in the way of that so, Carlton wanted South out of the VFL.
Collingwood did not want Carlton to obtain the benefits of playing all away games in Sydney.
So, Collingwood supported South's efforts.
Food for thought every time we play Carlton.
My wife supports Carlton, creates the occasional issue...
According to SEN Tom Harley says Tom Papley and Justin McInerney
“Trained really strongly on the weekend … and will hopefully get through the week and see how we go on Friday.”

Just heard on Andy Maher SEN radio show that Carlton will smack us by 40 points plus. Oh well there goes my hopes for progressing any further.
[QUOTE=crackedactor 01;875864]I don’t think the Swans will have any trouble getting motivated.
BTW SEN are running a “bespoke … unashamedly biased commentary” featuring “the one-eyed Carlton trio of Andy Maher, Mark Maclure, and club legend Wayne Johnston.”
SEN offers unapologetically biased commentary for Carlton's finals return
I don’t know we’d notice any difference from the normal Melbourne Media?
Have the umps been announced?

The AFL will be praying for Carlton to go deep into the finals. I think of the 8 teams remaining they will see us as least useful.
Just heard the forecast for Friday evening - Rain and possible hail. Better bring your flippers!
With the weather forecast we better not be selecting Francis as sub again like we did against Richmond!
