I know where it is, be interested to see who else does.
The Family day is at Lindsay Hassett Oval not the Lakeside Oval

Almost opposite ends of the Lake

Lindsay Hasset Oval is near Neville Street and the Old Lake Oval is the circle up on Albert Road.

Heh, well I am from Shepparton, after all. Up here the length of Albert Park Lake is like a walk around the block...

If you're getting a tram out, the tram stop is right at Lindsay Hassett Oval, or if you feel like a little walk just do a lap of the lake. *S*

It's the No. 96 tram - I caught it there on the Sunday after the grand final.

Des, Mike and I made the mistake of walking it the day after the GF. I wouldn't recommend it.

Lindsay Hassett is Oval "11" right in the middle of this map...

(the number 11 is slightly obscured)

Thanks for the ID help everyone - we have a very pregnant couple, some photos, one handsome bloke and a smurf in white and red. C ya there.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I'll be there with my daughter, who is in her twenties and my 8 year old nephew who is half Chinese (but looks totally Asian). So maybe we will be recognisable.
