News on recently departed Swans

[liz]

Snippet in this week's IF (on Port M) gave some info on what some of our departed players will be up to this season.

Gerard Bennett and Leigh Brockman both off to the SANFL - Bennett to South Adelaide and Brockman to Glenelg. Apparently Port had been hopeful of keeping both so are a bit disappointed.

Michael Swan has headed out west to play with his brother for a year in the WAFL but has said he'll be back at Port next year.

Ryan Ablett has also headed off to SA - can't remember for which team though.

No loaded question -but how is Mott going at Fremantle - he looked fit but I havent seen much about him in the press lately.

LS, I reckon reporting on Mott is your job, being so close and all that!!!

Here, we're thankful if we hear just enough about Sydney senior players. I only saw part of the Freo/ Weagles game last weekend on telly, and he was only on for a couple of minutes. botched a soccered goal attempt from a few metres out - tough for a big ruckman though!!

[LondonSwan]

Actually Des - headache and all I arrived in Sydney yesterday, I had things to do for my father.

But I cant get to the training sessions there much any more - it is easier for me to get to the Eagles, who look very good.

A few other additions to this list (only the guys that have moved to Adelaide).

Ryan Ablett is starting for West Adelaide (not a good move, they are going to struggle big time this year). This interesting given he was touted as a smokey in the AFL draft.

Ricky O'Loughlin will line up with Port Adelaide (a strange one given the links they have had with Centrals over the years, maybe he is trying to capture the attention of the Ports AFL side).

Ryan Fitzgerald is with South Adelaide, who look very strong this year with Gerry Bennett in there as well.

Here's a pic of Leigh Brockman in the Glenelg ragalia.
