heard that from a crows supporter tonight and no she wasn't being sarcastic she was dead serious. she started hitting a female swans supporter after the game. There were some real ferals at AAMI, didn't think crows were that feral til now. Anyone else have any problems?

Not alone there sp, got a text from someone that went there and they had to get a police escort out of the ground due to the ferals, seems it was only the Cows fans apparently no problem with the Port supporters they sawPremiers 09,18,33,05

Any relationship between bad behaviour and a state with such liberal drug use policies ?Comment

It's not only in Adelaide. We went to the Bell's hotel in South Melbourne and it was full of obnoxious, loud-mouthed, up themselves Adelaide people who acted as if they owned the place. A totally unpleasant experience. My daughter was very upset with them. And we came out smelling like an ashtray!---------||--ANNE--||----------Comment

I could go on about the freaks, social misfits and bogans I have seen in the last 24 hours, but there is no point.Originally posted by wyatt
Adelaide has more ferals, mullets and weirdos per square km than any other Australian city - just take a stroll down Rundle Mall and you'll get all the proof you need!
Ok, on second thoughts I will. Myself and "Smurf" (the artist formerly known as "Boofhead") were walking around the highly overrated Adelaide markets yesterday morning. All these people in trackpants up to their chests who looked like they had just been released from the funny farm were all staring at us. One person walked up to us asking me what day of the week it was. When I told him it was Saturday the 30th, he said "Oh great, I can go to the footy. Port are playing Sturt today".
In Melbourne seeing somebody in a footy scarf is an excuse to go up and talk with them about the game. In Adelaide it is an excuse to shower you in constant abuse and personal attacks. Even if they don't barrack for the Crows, there is always this mood of hate that comes out in people. Port hate the Crows, the Crows hate Port, lots of people hate both teams. It seems that to most South Australians football is a chance to get one-up on your detractors.
I just wanted to get into my hotel last night to get away from the morons roaming around the streets of the Adelaide CBD either giving it to us to the point of FOLLOWING US DOWN THE STREET singing the club song in our ears to snidely asking us the score just to make us squirm.
If you thought the commentary was bad, you were lucky you weren't there behind the goals last night. We needed security to PROTECT us from getting our heads kicked in in the last quarter by a group of bogans with mullets and earings called the "Crow Army". Again we needed a security escort out of the ground as well. It is sad that football has gotten to this stage that security escorted are deemed necessary just to get out of the ground safely. Sadly in Adelaide they are very necessary. One comment can result in them returning fire with not only abuse but objects such as bottles and jaffas. Every time Pete and I got up to get a chant going, we had the whole grandstand either abusing us, telling us to **** off or sit down, or even worse an excuse to hurl bottles at us.
I thought Crows supporters were plastic people like Eagles supporters. To a fair degree they are. People were leaving at the 15 minute mark of the last quarter to beat the traffic, even though the game was a thriller.
There is a nasty abusive narky streak in Adelaide supporters. If I had kids, I would NOT want to be taking them to AAMI Stadium when morons like the "Crow Army" are there, not only engaging in the most base of personal abuse but the possiblility of physical violence.

My father went over for the game. I spoke to him this morning and he said that the Adelaide fans were perfectly charming and he chatted with those around him and they egged each other on in good natured fun.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

I must say that the Adlade (they forget to pronounce the e) crowd are certainly different. I got my quarter time entertainment by watching the police arresting 2 mullet heads outside the gate, pinning them to the ground.
I reckon that some of the mullets I saw last night would rate on

The think I just hated was them hooting the most obvious of free kicks to us. Some of the things many of their fans were saying was near on laughable.

Exactly our experience. For the past 3 days, wandering around with my R&W on, I've had a great time, and had all sorts of people chat or josh us.Originally posted by stellation
