Our Singing Teddies are just tuning up for the long flight across the Nullabor. I wonder how the other travellers will feel about 5 hours of "Cheer Cheer"?

I feel ill, and it's unlikely to go away even when the game starts 'cause I won't be able to watch it due to a prior commitment that I am regretting right about now.

Same same. I think this team can do it, but know that we have been talked up a little bit I am worried.

Quietly confident, while at the same time realising what the ramifications of winning vs losing tonight are in terms of a challenge for the flag.

IMHO, win tonight and we would almost be favourites for the flag, lose, and it will be VERY difficult to even make the GF, let alone win it.

            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

                I am glad you asked.

Right now I feel enegised and slightly hung over. I awoke at 4am with a try mouth, returned a few SMSs, then went back to sleep.

I am wearing my long candy cane socks with Italian Hudson's on the feet, looks a treat with the Nudie jeans rolled up to the knee, but that won't happen till after 10pm tonight.

Hmmm might roll them up now and wander the bank corridors until my eventual certifying into Bedlam Bay.

                  Alone?
Let's just call you Shane, then, eh?

I am really nervous. I had been getting better as the season progressed re the overwhemling waves of nausea I had on a Wednesday before a Sunday game, but I am right back to where I started. I haven't been able to eat this morning, not able to stomach my snazzy new tea, not able to function!

But there's something in the air today. For all my nervousness, I am feeling quietly confident. It does help to know that we have a second bite at the cherry should we need it. But I woke up smiling. Today will be a great day.

I have placed my faith in Roosy and Co and they will make us proud, whatever the outcome of tonight's game (preferably a win!). I know they can do it! They're playing unbelievably well as a cohesive unit, and know they can do this. Football is nothing without passion and provided they bring that tonight, they will triumph.
And you can't find nothing at all,
If there was nothing there all along.

I feel sick and very distracted. Almost wish it was over. I am glad that other people are as crazy as I am. I think if we win this we have a good chance to go all the way (and this is a big statement for a born pessimist). If we aren't good enough to win tonight we probably aren't good enough to win overall. The football season is self-inflicted, addictive torture for me.

Funny, very funny, I mean that gag is so here, so NOW, I assume by Shane you are talking about Shane Warne? He's the one who always comes to mind when a text is sent. And you were using an amusing contemporary annecdote. Funny, very funny! Keep up the comedy, really edgey, chancey material like that has to be said...you said it!

Now I have finished the premium grade sarcasm.

Yeah well I figured a call at 4am might not be too welcomed, nothing rings louder than a 4am phone call.

Besides it was a fellow RWOer who was suffering a severe bout of pre-game nerves! Who isn't?

Is it too early to go to the pub to get ready to watch the game? It's um, er, 12.25. Oh, ok. Did you say there was work to do? Yea but what do I do about the stampede of butterflies in my stomach?

Patterns emerge, but do they mean anything? No.

Work! Nearly impossible. The only decent distraction is a long lunch to make the hours pass fast. Fortunately I have one booked...superb!
