The womens team play a similar style of MMA like the mens team did, so who knows how it will work outlol, one of my mates said his sister went and trained with auburn women the other night "her oztag got called off and her friend said come train with us. after training they were trying to get her to sign up and said they would pay her". Someone who has never kicked a footy before.
Love that they always give concessions to auburn though, hopefully works out better for the syndey afl then the mens team did.Leave a comment:

SO the Leb Girls are now the poster team of the NSWAFL, with the muppets they have running the joint (bloke who used to be at Wests is their football manager) then I am not surprisedlol, one of my mates said his sister went and trained with auburn women the other night "her oztag got called off and her friend said come train with us. after training they were trying to get her to sign up and said they would pay her". Correct FB. Has been put back a week. Southern Power and Western Wolves have combined and Auburn have been promoted to have a 6 team Prem Div comp. This brings the Div 1 comp back to 12 teams. New fixture out Monday. Opening gala day still scheduled for Div 1, but possibly to be moved away from Rosedale as they have had a ground glitch. The promotion of Auburn is a tad baffling though with both last years Div 1 grand finalists not approached for possible promotion.Leave a comment:

I believe the competition has had withdrawls amongst both divisions......it will start next weekend I am told.Leave a comment:

Just been looking at AFL Sydney website fixtures and I can not find any information regarding the Womens fixtures for this weekend. Any ideas on how to find them?Leave a comment:

I think UTS players get maligned the same way as Michael Clarke. Michael always felt that he was unpopular in sections of the community because he was not the sort of guy who had a cattle dog chained to the back of the Hilux Ute. He dressed well, lived in Bondi, had a sports car and dated women involved in the fashion industry. The same for UTS players.
The vast majority of UTS players are not tradies, who drive a Hilux Ute with a cattle dog in the back. This is the accepted blue print for a Sydney AFL player. UTS players are white collar, live mostly in Bondi or Paddington, wear fashionable clothes, drink in Double Bay and in some cases drive fancy cars. This does not make them arrogant or bad people. Just different!
I have cheer the endorsement of Zac J, The General, Mints and Thainy. They are brilliant guys and the Sydney AFL has been better for their involvement in the game.
I would have thought from the first post the legitimacy of "Luke Shannons" bat connection was a myth at best however from the comments that followed people bought into it. This just reffirms it.
I look at this forum from time to time and its generally negative but had no idea blokes were masquerading as players from other clubs...Last edited by Hamstrings77; 7 April 2016, 04:17 PM.Leave a comment:

So, in summary, wankers? Michael Clarke was known as Captain Wanker. Like AB, but a wanker, not Grumpy.Leave a comment:

They were, a disgraceful stain on the Sydney AFL landscape, not missed and never wanted back.Leave a comment:

I am sure that like all footy clubs they are great blokes off the field, and generally nice blokes.
But in my experience my hate list goes
1. UTS
2. Manly
3. East Coast

Could someone give me a history of Auburn? Were they formed by the Kassam family who used to be part of Parramatta?
Why are they not forming a men's team this year?Leave a comment:

Sorry I forgot that scum, yep Auburn get the gold medal, what a great little pet project for the NSWAFL that was....We played Auburn in Div 2 in 2012 at Bensons. The first leg at Mona was a vicious affair. They got wind of our Defence connection and told one of the Army boys 'drive home as fast as you can coz you're going to be stabbed'
Anyway the return leg saw spot fires break out everywhere. I was playing up forward and the bloke I was playing on wasn't a footballer. Soccer shorts, shin guards, tatts up to his chin line.
Jokingly, during one break to stop a fight, I asked him 'what do you reckon mate, want to throw a few at each other?' To which he replied completely deadpan 'better not bro I'm on parole at the moment'.
Needless to say I took a few safety steps to my left.Leave a comment:
