I have started looking at the first final which is never a good thing and I am hoping the players and the coaches still focus on the next 3 games and win them all to keep the momentum.
But It's probably a blessing in disguise that we have had the injuries this week rather than in a couple of weeks from now. Lewis Melican should come in and be settled. With Hawks and Gunston not necessarily very mobile, I think we should be OK with clamping him down with Melican.
Will Day, Jai Newcombe. Tagging Newcombe is not easy, he is very smart the way he is used by Sam Mitchell. None of our taggers are big enough to tackle him - He is heavier than all our taggers. So I am assuming someone else will get tagged like Will Day.
We can beat the Hawks with the right strategy come September - . But we need all our prime movers playing well. Come September gulden is going to be tagged. And we need to keep moving him in different positions in the next 3 weeks to see how he can adapt to the tagging and still impact. Heeney needs to really lift. Probably would benefit by a week off against Essendon.
