Just hold your drinks until you know more. Rumour has it that 3 ladies, possible prostitutes approach some Swans players and were pushed and rejected and then accuse them of grabbing them on the boobs. I have seen the way some girls throw themselves at AFL footballers. I need to know more before I comment.

feels a little bit idealistic (and potentially dismissive) … 8 cops went to the hotel in plain clothes.

Best case scenario, but as you say, let’s all hold our drinks.

I don't disagree. However, expecting footballers (or indeed any sports people) to be fundamentally any different to the general population in their overall fallibility to doing dumb things, reckless things, criminal things forgets the facts that we are all humans after all, them included. That is not to condone in any way what is being alleged, but it does reflect the fact that while some may try and pretend they are somehow different because they are professional sportsmen, they really are just people after all.
Mate, this is no joke- are the players involved really so stupid? They do a few stupid things on the field under pressure and in the heat of the moment- but off the field? There can be no excuse for being at best stupid, and at worst reckless and criminal behaviour. They are bringing shame on themselves and our beloved club!"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

It is just a vomit full of nonsense over there at the moment Ludwig. However, a couple of regulars over there that do seem to be well connected with the club more generally seem pretty shocked, so I do suspect they know more than they can say about it.... but that is nothing but a hunch on my part."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Someone on Big Footy said according to News Day no players have been charged. Lets hope the worst case scenario is the club has read the riot act. Also someone on BF said his brother was at the airport at the same time as our players and said they looked like someone had died. In these cases there's always the one who suggests "they get in the strippers". As has been suggested on BF there is CCTV everywhere in hotels so the police would be able to piece together a time line.Comment

No offence, but naming who was involved at this point would be defamatory, and bring risk to the existence of this website. Please don’t name names at this point.Comment

My daughter is a mental health expert and I asked her once why do AFL players who are on a truck load of money get on the gear and do dumb things. Her answer: "we have discussed this many times and the only answer we can come with is they are young men".

Guys, I’m telling ya, this is a fraught exercise. There’s been speculation it was four and six players, then these five were named, then someone else is reporting one of them wasn’t involved or interviewed. I know enough about defamation law to beg people not to do this.
if the club or police stand down players or confirm something, that’s different. Until then, it’s dangerous to do it.Comment

He’s just reporting on the names Caroline Wilson said

They were named as interviewed I understand? That could mean anything - from they were all involved in said situation, to none of them were involved, but they had information/evidence etc of interest to the investigators?
Who knows at this point in time."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

That is correct. According to Caroline Wilson that is the five players who were allegedly interviewed by the police.Comment
