Yeah, they really blew it.....and will come up against a rampaging Carlton next week. It's a pity, I like them too. I hope they smash the Blues anyway.

I like Melbourne, too. Never met a Melbourne supporter I don't like. And 2 close Melbourne supporting friends of mine reached out to me over the last few days to see how I was coping with the dramas of last week.

Reading headlines that we're sitting ducks. predictions of going out in straight sets and that teams below us will be eager to play us in the finals. Don’t know if internally that would be used as an motivational factor under the circumstances.
But as a supporter, i so desperately hope by the end of the finals we get to rub these doom sayers noses into the dirt! Doesn’t necessarily mean by winning the flag, but how we play as a team with our backs to the wall.
I was so emotional, pumped and proud at end of the game watching those post match scenes that i couldn't control my adrenaline screaming repeatingly in a guttural roar GO BLOODS!!!! with watery eyes, that shook my neighbourhood.
It was a powrfu emotion i hadn't felt in such a long time which i had subconsciously lost by allowing the scarring of those rmassive GF losses get to me.
In a weird way under the circumstances, I'm hoping that the challenges the team/club are currently facing might also help them overcome any lingering scars as a result of those GF losses.
It might be naive thinking as a passionate supporter, but GO BLOODS!!!!!!

I feel like we are going to be pushing the proverbial s*** upstairs, but I reckon we will give it an almighty shove.
It was a great response on field over the weekend, but its going to be an altogether different beast come Saturday week against the rampaging Brisbane.
I give us a great chance to win a final and make a prelim. To me, given the standards on the field of our footy club, I think that would be a genuine pass mark in the circumstances.
Bring the commitment, bring the emotion and bring the willingness to work hard for each other that we did yesterday, and who knows what happens. We still have enough game breakers in the team, and it would only take a couple of unsung heroes to stand up and who knows what could happen - we need to play as a true Bloods team, the value of the 23 well in beyond the sum of its individual parts. And if there was ever a time we need our remaining big names to really rip open a game - sometime over the next month would be great. We know Errol will be up for it (although he will get a lot of attention), but can Charlie stand up to be counted, can someone rip a game open.
This is a time for some unsung players to stand up and say 'I'll grab this chance to shine'.
