You are welcome to your opinion mcs and I respect it but I don't agree. Those who left after the womens game are misguided and wrong and I will shame them.

Their act of walking out is suggesting that they think all Swans mens players are guilty in some way or at least that their integrity is in question. They are wrong.

This players group has endured a week from hell and are also hurting.....and they deserve to be fully supported.

It's actually encouraging to me that the crowd went up by 14,000 for the men's game, so not all our fans are stupid.

As they say - it is darkest in the moments before dawn. This club has a long way to go to redeem itself, but baby steps were taken today.

Now on to finals and giving it a red hot crack - whatever may come from here!
Absolutely, I 100% agree with this one!

Top effort by a team that showed they’re more than 2-3 players. Congratulations to everyone who showed up to support the women and the men. Stay tough and united after a week from Hell.

And now that I've mentioned radio, Ryan O'Keeffe was commentating and he predicted, that in two or three years, Green will be the best ruck in the competition.
You can see he just has it. Apparently he would have debuted far earlier in the season if not for the incident at the MCG. Of course he has work to do (kicking skills mainly) but some of the things he does for a 20yo ruck and his hands just make you go wow.

Each to their own is all I suggest.

Not every one is the same, and not everyone responds in the same way. That is all.

This is not a time for ripping into other supporters, and shaming people certainly isn't going to change their views of the world.

Everyone who left after the AFLW game and deserted the men's team when they needed all the support they could get should be made to watch this.

I respect your posts mcs but I don't need a lecture.....and you won't change my view of the world either.

I would implore those fans who left before the men's game to witness just how upset some of our players were after the game to realise how much they were hurting....and how much they need fans support. I actually hope those 'fans' feel some pangs of guilt for their 'holier than thou' actions. If I seem like a hard arse, so be it. It was a great win and they missed out on it.

                  Anyway, we move on.

A different perspective is not a lecture stevo.

The last line absolutely stands however - now is not a time for ripping into other fans. The media is doing a good job of that already and would love to drive a wedge into the supporter base. They want absolute carnage from whatever angle they can manufacture it. Hence why this is even being talked about/making headlines - in any other week it wouldn't even bat an eyelid.

Those fans aren't making said choices because they believe they are 'holier than thou', it is because they are hurting as well and it is how they feel they can best respond at this point in time. Such a perspective is every bit as valid as your perspective, even if you don't agree with it. It is unnecessary to pass judgment and call it out as definitively 'wrong' however - by doing that, aren't you effectively partaking in the same claimed 'holier than thou' crime that you are charging them with/

Let them be, accept they view the world differently, and leave the need to shoot across the bow for another day.

Green still has a long way to go physically, but there is a lot of good footy brain moments happening already. He is learning from some pretty damn good ruck men at the club however. It is going to be intriguing to see what happens come first week of the finals. We may get some idea next week - if they are thinking of bringing McLean or Amartey in, surely Green will play for the VFL team in their elimination final in Melbourne.

I don't think Green offers enough around the ground yet - but equally, some finals experience at AFL level would be excellent for his development also, so I can see the appeal. Especially given Amartey will be underdone as anything, and McLean has disappointed in his last few games at senior level.

One of the few tough selection choices we face at this point.

                      .
I find it difficult to reconcile a claim those people are somehow trying to demonstrate a 'holier than thou' attitude, yet simultaneously you are passing judgment on them by calling them out as 'wrong' and 'guilty'.

You can disagree with them without extending that to a need to judge them. You are better than that mate.

The kid can definitely play and has some footy smarts. One of the few really tough decisions to be made from here whether to keep him in or not. I suspect we will know next weekend likely plans (i.e. whether he lines up in the VFL or not). If McLean was in reasonable form I don't think there would be a tough choice to make. But you've got an out of form McLean, a maybe sort of fit Amartey as alternatives. I'd be tempted to stick with Green and give him a chance to learn on the run in a big final.

Inspiring stuff. There is a stat that stands out for me. Centre clearnces: 18/10 our favour. Those who think Green has a fair way to go as a player have a look at the replay. When rucking at centre clearances he knocks the ball forward, not at his feet. This negates the fleet footed opposition and allows our players to run onto the footy. He is also prepared to follow up his own play. That's as good as we have been on centre clearances this year without the likes of Heeney and Warner.

Braeden Campbell: I have been saying since he was drafted he is a pure midfielder. His work today was outstanding.
Mills: I don't recall him having one turnover today. An superb game.
Jake Lloyd: He showed his detractors today how good he has been his whole career. A fantastic gutsy effort.
Harry Kyle just looks the goods.
                          Cleary's best game by far.
I thought Matt Roberts was pretty ordinary.

The responses on the weekend to the woes of last week by our VFL team, our AFLW team and our AFL team were simply outstanding. All 3 teams produced magnificent performances based on passion and emotion. After the week from hell, our 3 teams reminded us how great our club still is. My Melbourne based, Swans loving family, friends and I were just so proud yesterday.

                              BLOODS FOREVER!
