Gutsy, gutsy call that Hawthorn will whinge about forever. However, I thought that Hawthorn were very, very lucky not to give away a 50m penalty that would've led to a certain Lions goals not long before "that free kick."

Absolutely!! That non call would've been more controversial had Hawthorn won. Plus Hawks had enough time on the clock (18 seconds( to win centre clearance as Brisbane to pinch game in the last play.

An absolutely magnificent game. Great to see without being stressed to the eyeballs about who won. Correct and gutsy umpiring decision, but a Charlie Cameron snap would have been a more fitting finale.

Yeah well, the Matt Stevic era is over, so screw them.

And then the “family club” fans showed their class by throwing bottles onto the ground afterwards. The same gracious pricks who turbocharged the booing of Goodes, before their President denied it was anything to do with race. Which of course led to him being appointed to the AFL Commission. You can’t hate Hawthorn enough.

Yesiree! No unfair home ground advantage to a Vic team.....it's perfect. Now I don't really know who to go for.....I quite like both teams.

If Freo get up, it will be nice to see the joy of a first flag win but it's hard to go past the Lions. They are just a good team in the clinches.....making our win two weeks ago all the more impressive.

Hopefully it's a cracker of a game like this evening was.

The Hawks players, coach (though he was smart enough not to directly criticise it) and fans are all going off. I get players being disappointed after a game like that but they’re spooking it up in post match interviews. The big giveaway on the free was once Impey realised he was cooked, he easily dropped it to his foot. Which he could have done earlier. So BALLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!
