    Swans chat 2027 List Management

Thought i'd start this thread with today being the first of the trade period. Interesting what FA compensation we receive for Armatey to Carlton.

Read HS article where it reckons it wouldn't be a bad thing if we traded Blakey!!!! FFS, no club would able to even come up close in making a serious offer we would even begin to consider. Confident any rumblings Blakey has will be ironed out and remains next year, pending police findings. Media are so quick to a wedge stick.

Amartey now officially a Blue. Probably should get Band 2 compensation, which would be a pick somewhere in the mid 20s. Some handy players in that range, but there's a slight possibility that we'll use that pick on McGroder or Medved: if they really impress at the combines.

We got band 3, so currently pick 36. Which is bull@@@@ given the Giants got band three for a 33yo on a three year deal worth not much more. The old secret herbs and spices manipulated once again.

Which will possibly now be used on McGroder. While he's still undecided, it seems like he's leaning towards football. He's also had quite a few clubs sound him out.

Not short on confidence thats for sure lol (Freo may bid on him early they have pick 17, interesting apart from the swans they are the only team to visit him)

Pick 36? Give me a break! Amartey is in his prime for goodness sake. We nursed him for years and just as we start getting a bit of a return, he jumps ship for some extra dollars. However in fairness, he will have more opportunities at Carlton but I wish he would have stayed with us for another few years! Very good on his day and when not injured!

you think he's worth more than that ? seems about right to me, middle of the road player who struggles to stay on the park

Built like Tarzan, plays like Jane
If we were offering 5yrs, other guys on our list could ask for 12

Win Win, good luck to him

Hope the Lizard stays- love watching some of the crazy things he does! We need to welcome back the 5 and let’s win the flag next year! We just need a bit more depth to cover injuries- heck, we belted Brisbane and could have beaten Freo with our full team.

What do you fine people think of the Merrett trade? For mine, it's overs for a 31 year not dominant role type. Yes he's durable and will complement the Hawks well (and is a very good player), but it's a lot of draft capital. I don't think clubs outside of ESS + HAW would have valued him that highly, but curious what you all think?

There a few clubs in a window

                            cats
                            hawks
                            freeo
                            swans
                            brisbane
                            etc

they are going hard like we did last season with Curnow

Still talk of Blakey, I hope it doesn't eventuate but....

Any talk of that needs to be turned into Weitering/Mc Andrew type deal or O'Sullivan ++
