Well done David! If this season is anything to go by I hope he is not on our list next year and gets senior game time elsewhere.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

In 2 maybe 3 years time, we're going to be in rebuilding phase, and we'll want guys like this in our seniors.

I can't see Spriggs hanging around next year.

I hope he gets a start at a team like the Dogs who seem to be a perfect match for his size and running abilities.

I think the thing we admire about Spriggsy is summarised in the Canberra Times article - the fact that he would have been frustrated at not getting a senior game but has remained a solid performer and team-player. And not even a hint of bad blood...thats the true Bloods spirit!!!!

Full credit to you David...many of us think you should have been given senior game time this year. I hope the club and you can make an arrangement that sees you getting a better opportunity next year...either at the Swans or elsewhere

Now finish the year with Back-to-Back ACT premierships!!!

Very stiff not to get a run in the seniors. Maybe this week!

I find all of these comments about Spriggs should have got a game etc quite humorous. It wasn't long ago that everyone was calling for his head - can't kick, no pressure skills etc.

He is not in our best 22 and would be behind Crouch, Schmidt, Grundy, Vogels and Phillips to come into the team.

I for one am glad that he can't get a game with us. Well done to him on the medal for ACT AFL, but the real AFL has passed him by.

Some of us are open to the crazy notion that a player can improve.

Obviously the massive improvements in his disposal and passion to play have been missed by the selection committee.

I have never once called for Spriggs's head...i dont tend to enter into any (many perhaps more truthfully) debates about players like Mathews, LRT, Bevan etc. Those debates never make sense to me because at some time we have called for almost every player to be dropped/sacked/traded

I thought and posted the other week when Mathews came into the side as a late replacement that Spriggs should have been brought in ahead of him - and at least given him one more chance to prove himself at the top level (or perhaps given him a chance to show other AFL clubs that he is worth a shot)

They play in the seniors most weeks so I doubt they get to see much of him.
