That's a good description RP, Mick is definitely our barometer.
It's a minor modern day miracle that he managed to play every game last season and our forward line is far more potent when he is there as it allows Baz to push up the ground more.
Our forward line, with Spida's likely addition at times, is sensational at the moment.
Not a bad article on Magic closing in on the alltime games record for Sydney/SMFC and a chance at moving past Plugger as most goals for Sydney behind Bob Pratt.
Usually a lot of spin in these articles 'best in 5 or 6 years' etc, but as I noted last year, Magic warmed up with the team (on the field 40 mins before the game type warmup) for the first time for at least 2 or 3 years last season. He's injuries are obviously better now than 4 or 5 years ago.
Micky has always been fairly fragile in the injury department. Not sure exactly why but it's pleasing to see him fit, performing and avoiding injuries like he did last year. I reckon Micky is always a good barometer for Sydney. A fit a contributing Micky usually sees us winning a whole lot more than we lose.
A very undertarated player and a huge contributor to our success IMHO.
